The Kendriya Vidalayas are run by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sagathan, an autonomous body formed by the Ministry of Education, Govt of India, New Delhi as a result of the recommendations of the second Pay Commission. They primarly cater to the educational needs of the children of Cenrtal Govt. Employees including Defence Personnel and floating population liable to frequest transfers throughout the country.
Every school, hence is a 'Miniature India' in itself and tries to inclucate in its students' feelings of partriotism, brotherhood and national integration.
